Reading the Encyclopedia

My cousin Dale read the student version of World Book Encyclopedia when he was a kid. PBS had A.J. Jacobs, the author of The Know-It-All : One Man's Humble Quest to Become the Smartest Person in the World on. His book is about his reading of the Encyclopedia Britannica. Wonder how many other people read encyclopedias - or dictionaries for that matter?
