Tylenol and asthma

According to studies in Hong Kong acetaminophen may cause asthma in children.

    Wow, that's amazing. I work in an ER, and the use of tylenol is very widespread.
    It is my opinion that fever is the body's way of fighting off infection, so I refuse to give tylenol to children unless their fever is very high, or the doctor orders it.
    This causes much conflict with my co-workers, who strongly believe that any temperature over 99 degrees should immediately be medicated.
    However, developing asthma as an adult linked to childhood use of tylenol? What about exposure to air pollution? Does this get auto manufacturers and coal plants off the hook? I think not.
