Flimsy Sanity: Talk about tension

Flimsy Sanity

In individuals, insanity is rare; but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule. - Friedrich Nietzsche

Talk about tension

Found this on the net: In Japan the only other industrialized democracy that practices capital punishment they don't even tell you when they are going to kill you. They just show up at your cell one morning and that is it.
And to make it worse sometimes they don't even come…I mean ever. Some people are on death row in Japan that are as old as 83 and have been on death row since they were 16 years old and they haven't come for them yet.

A very close friend of mine was ill, in a certian third-world nations major hospital. He had some surgery that required a catheter.

Well, I stayed with him in the hospital room, before and after the operation. The hospital was filthy, and had no air conditioning. It was a horrible experiance.

The kicker, however was when the doctors came in the room at 4AM, the day after the operation and while we were sleeping, ripped the catheter out, without warning.

Ugh... talk about a rude awakening. Your post reminded me of this story... :o)
