I saw a photo once of a John Birch Society storefront office on the mainstreet of some small town. Hung up on the back wall behind the 50's metal desks and phones was a large banner with a peace sign on it. Next to it was written: "The Footprint of the American Chicken." ...I'm sure this has something to do with this...?!

Brunsvold: Speaking of chickens, I don't know how many conservatives have told me the story that the PETA people released a bunch of chickens and they all got run over by traffic. I think it is an urban legend.
