Strange Purchase

The Carlyle Group co-founder David Rubenstein bought a 710-year-old copy of the Magna Carta for $21.3 million. Do you suppose they wanted it so they could burn it and bring back the days of divine rights?

    Possibly, or because he gets a kick out of spending that obscene amount of money on an old scrap of paper while others starve. I've given up attempting to fathom the minds of the stinking rich.
