Flimsy Sanity: Cheney the hunter

Flimsy Sanity

In individuals, insanity is rare; but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule. - Friedrich Nietzsche

Cheney the hunter

I can't stop laughing about this...and he shot a Republican lawyer (the American dream). Man, is this too funny or what? NRA should be giving hunter safety lessons instead of campaign contributions to the bloated bastard....it wasn't so long ago Cheney was making fun of Kerry's hunting ability and ridiculing Kerry's new hunting vest. I wonder if the new reward for Republicans who don't follow the party line or make too small a contribution will be a hunting trip with Cheney. Here is a little flash game for you to help Dick practice.

This is what CBS had to say about the guy he shot: Whittington has been a private practice attorney in Austin since 1950 and has long been active in Texas Republican politics. He's been appointed to several state boards, including when then-Gov. George W. Bush named him to the Texas Funeral Service Commission.

I can't believe the hammering White House spokesman Scott McClellan took from journalists over this issue. They were positively wolfish. We've had years of Iraq war casualties, White House cock-ups galore, and the press have behaved like pussy cats after a belly full of cream in their handling of McClellan. Now, when Cheney accidentally shoots one of his cronies, they go berserk. I guess they just have different priorities from normal people.

Wouldn't it be grand if Cheney actually had to take responsibility for this and ended up indicted under a grand jury. It would be his own ineptitude that finally done him in.

It's a terrible thing to confess, but I confess my first reaction to the news was delight that Cheney would be put in an uncomfortable position and the White House beside itself.

In pre-Bush days, my first concern would have been for the victim and the birds.

    This Administration rots the soul.
