The time to put some women in control is NOW when things are going to hell. I nominate Renee Dufault for FDA, Brooksley Born for Treasury Secretary, Geneviette Walker Lightfoot for SEC and Eileen Welsome for head of the IRS. It makes more sense to put the people who exposed problems in control instead of the "go along to get along" crowd. Come on, Obama, the time for party politics is gone.

Thank you for your nomination! I appreciate the sentiment and am honored you would think of me as a good person to run the FDA. I don't think I could do it though in the current system - ethically speaking -even if I were qualified to do the job, which I am certain I am not. You need to be an MD to run the FDA from an academic standpoint.
Congress would have to pass campaign finance law again and the Supreme Court would have to back that campaign finance law. Corporations cannot continue to be considered individuals and be allowed to contribute millions to elect specific leaders who will protect their interests when measured against those of public health.
The system in place needs some fixing and that is a fact.

I am thinking the heads of organizations need to set the tone more than anything else and ethical people should be in charge. Back to dreamland. Flimsy Sanity
