Mr. Daniel Goleman said in his book, Vital Lies, Simple Truths, The Psychology of Self Deception, "People with a desire for power do things for the sake of making an impact on others and exercising authority solely for the taste of power. They have little tolerance for interference and bristle at challenges to their opinions. High power leaders respond well to ingratiating subordinates...the leaders high in power motivation sought fewer facts from other group members and were offered fewer proposals. Once the leader expressed his views, members fell in line, deferring to him."
