Why is it that a solitary person talking about end times is a reject, but a group doing the same is a political force determining international relations?

Why is it that a solitary person talking about end times is a reject, but a group doing the same is a political force determining international relations?

Power in numbers, I guess. A lady came up to me last week and said the end was near and her savior the Lord Jesus Christ would come very soon. I said, "Great!" I'm just not into messing with these people. I can imagine that in a group they would be intimidating as there is no reasoning.
