Good Luck to anyone who escapes North Dakota
He once used lip balm to squeeze out of handcuffs. Another time, he crawled through a prison air vent. Last year, he slipped out with bags of mail.
On the lam, he found time to send a prison warden a Christmas card and used his name to apply for a cell phone.

That's a great story . . . sorry that he's a murderer and a thief . . . but you've got to give him props for creativity and resourcefulness.
I wonder if he'll escape again.
It reminds me of a guy in Idaho, Claude Dallas, who was on the run for years. He walked out of prison one day with the visitors and no one seems to understand how he could so casually get free.
I'm intrigued by prisons, since such a large percentage of our population is in, or has been in them.

CV Rick: I watched the video of him talking to the cop right after he escaped in LA and the guy really could control himself - he didn't show any nervousness. Also a good reason to NEVER get a tattoo. Yes, murdering an innocent guy makes him an asshole, but a smart one, nevertheless.

This was in Yahoo news:
Gagnon was on patrol with training officer Nelson Levesque when the two noticed McNair in a stolen van. McNair sped away in the van when the officers attempted to pull him over, but hit a dead end, the officers said.
McNair fled the vehicle, and was tackled by Gagnon after a quarter-mile foot chase down a dirt road and through a wooded area.
Most cops around here couldn't run 50 feet.
