Flimsy Sanity: Why Is It?

Why Is It?

Rich people can give $10,000 to each child (each year) tax free and the children do not have to declare the gift on their taxes. People who get small gifts (such as tips) cannot have $10,000 worth free before paying taxes on them.

This is a very logical and sound idea. If poor people were allowed the same incentive, it would cause them to get rich and then everyone could give $10,000 to each child tax free and the government would go bankrupt.

See, tax laws make sound economic sense - as George W keeps telling you.

That would give "family value" a whole new meaning.

Not only that, these rich people refuse to adopt me!

    Mary,
If I ever get rich, I will give everyone who was ever nice to me $10,000.

PS Mary: Don't hold your breath on a windfall from me - looks like I'll probably be poor all my life - which actually suits me fine.
