Something I Always Wondered

People in the military take an oath to defend the Constitution. I wonder if they are required to actually read it. If so, why haven't they organized a coup against Bush/Cheney?

    Umm...because there is no "coup" provision in the constitution. Duh, you twit.

    No, they are not required to read or understand it. They have no organized a coup because the information they are getting is highly propagandized and many of them actually believe that their President wouldn't lie to them. To decide to organize a coup, they might want to read the Declaration of Independance.

    Basically, their whole job relies on trusting your superiors implicitly. They are not, unfortunately, paid to think.
